MASTER PROGRAM IN GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING
AND MANAGEMENT

OF TECHNOLOGY (AIT)
Object of the program: Civil engineer, Geotechnical, Architecture and fields relation to architecture, at
least three years of working experience.
Training unit: Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)
Nowadays, there is a growing demand of skillful human
resource of Viet Nam in Construction field, Technical Infrastructure Development
project, Quality control of construction work and underground construction work
development in the future, especially construction
projects in soft ground, which is a characteristic of Viet Nam. Offered by one of the most prestigious
geotechnical engineering programs in Asia, the Professional Master Program in
Geotechnical and Management (PME-GEM) program caters for the major
geotechnical and construction companies (local and overseas) operating in
Vietnam. This is international quality training program for construction engineers
in Viet Nam.
Degree: The student will receive Professional Master of Engineering (PME) degree
in Geotechnical Engineering and Management (GEM) of Asian Institute of Technology.
Program
structure:
· 33-credit curriculum consisting of 24 credits of
course work and 9 credits of project work.
· Main subjects of Geotechnical Engineering and
Management: Practical Soil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Foundation
Engineering and Design, Instrumentation
and Advance Soil Testing, Ground
Improvement Techniques, Underground Excavation and Tunneling, Geotechnical Investigation
and Exploration, Risk Management
for Infrastructure Development and Planning, Urban Railway Geoengineering and Management. In 2016-2017,
· Field trips in one of countries in the region in Asia,
Europe to learn experiences from other countries and expand the networking.
Instructors: Faculty from the School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Asian Institute of
Technology, highly qualified and experienced invited lecturers,
high-ranking officers from prominent
construction companies and projects and famous universities.
