THE TECHNICAL SEMINAR
IN GEOTECHNICAL ENGGINEERING AND MANAGMENT
      The Technical Seminar of Professional Master Program in Geotechnical Engineering and Management (PME-GEM) cooperating with University of Transport and Communications (UTC) took place on Saturday, 13 May 2017, at A8 Building, University of Communication and Transports, Lang Thuong, Dong Da, Ha Noi.

      The Seminar with presence of Dr. Ta Thi Thoang-Program Officer, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong-Program Assistant, Dr.Seah Tian Ho, Adjunct Faculty of AIT, who had served as a geotechnical consultant expert of this project, Dr. Nguyen Duc Manh, Lecturer and  Head of Geotechnical Engineering Department, UTC and valued guests from UTC and many construction companies.

     Topic of the Seminar: “Geotechnical solutions for infrastructure projects in Vietnam”
We had 2 speechs from AITVN and UTC. Firstly, Dr. Nguyen Duc Manh, Lecturer and  Head of Geotechnical Engineering Department- UTC presented 
"Remedial methods for a large-scale landslide at Ong Tuong hill, Hoa Binh Province", all lecturers and students from UTC were very excited and concentrate on his presentation.

 Then we had a short break with tea and cakes, every guest had time to meet each other and discuss about the seminar as well as their collaboration.



In the second part of the seminar, the topic "Soft Soil Treatment in Tan Son Nhat – Binh Loi Outer Ring Road Project" presented by Dr. Seah Tian Ho, AIT adjunct faculty membe. 


He was so practical that all of guest felt interested and made more questions for him.



The Seminar was closed with the group photo session.

      The Technical Seminar of Professional Master Program in Geotechnical Engineering and Management (PME-GEM), took place on Saturday, 11 March 2017, at Room A1.1, AITVN, Building B3, University of Communication and Transports, Lang Thuong, Dong Da, Ha Noi.

      The Seminar with presence of Dr. Ta Thi Thoang-Program Officer, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong-Program Assistant, Dr. Pham Van Long-General Director of VinaMekong Engineering, HCMC, Adjunct Faculty of AIT, who had served as a geotechnical consultant expert of this project, and valued guests from many construction companies.

     Topic of the Seminar: Performance And Analyses Of Thick Soft Clay Deposit Improved By PVD With Surcharge Preloading and Vacuum Consolidation –A Case Study at CMIT” presented by Dr.  Pham Van Long, was so practical that all of guest felt interested and made more questions for him.

The Seminar was closed with the group photo session and open discussions.
