In the framework of the coursework, some Lab and Field tests were conducted to help better understanding on class lectures. On 07 July 2012, as a part of the Geotechnical Investigation and Exploration course, the PME-GEM students were instructed by Dr.Pham Huy Giao to practice one of the applications of geophysical method in geotechnical investigation- the resistivity method. The survey was conducted at University of communication and transport campus aiming to invest the depth of the concrete pavement. Two very well-known Vietnamese geophysicists (Prof. Anh and Prof.Canh-Institute of Geology) joined the field procedure with PME-GEM students.
After an intensive study week, a friendly football match between PME-GEM students and FECON’s staff was organized on last Saturday evening (07 July). The football match was very exciting and dramatic; PME-GEM team won with rate of 3-2.
